The Savannah®

History:

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA – A half century after the founding of Charles Town, General James Edward Oglethorpe landed south of the Calibogue Sound on the Savannah River with a plan in mind. It was to be the city of Savannah.

By 1790 mansions and squares were evident with all the grace and rich trimmings the new city could garnish to emulate its sister city.

Consequently, our next style of antique heart pine floors is called – The Savannah®.
